First Kids Bank
The First Kids Bank is an interactive banking experience created for the Yuma County Children’s Museum, designed to make learning about finance engaging and fun for kids.
This exhibit features two main areas: The Vault and The Spending Pinball Table.
In The Vault, visitors enter a unique PIN code—a sequence of colors and shapes—that they must follow correctly to unlock the vault. Once the code is entered, they spin the vault wheel to open it and collect their currency, represented by bright, rubber balls.
Next, at the Spending Pinball Table, visitors make decisions on how they want to “spend” their money. By adjusting the pinball maze, they aim to guide their currency towards specific spending goals. This hands-on experience encourages kids to think strategically about spending in a fun, interactive way.
